Very occasionally it is necessary to close the school due to bad weather, lack of heating, etc. The decision to do this is not taken lightly and is made for the health and safety of both pupils and staff. It is not possible to contact every parent individually, but once a decision has been made, Radio York and Minster FM are notified, as well as notice being made on the school website and parents contacted via ParentMail. If school has to be closed once the children are at school, parents/carers will be notified.
This means that it is important that you keep us up to date with your emergency contact numbers, even temporary changes. Children will always be kept supervised at school until the parent/carer arrives to collect them.
